I’ve been writing creatively all my life, but never saw people like me in books and poems in the 80s and 90s in my tiny English town.
Who am I kidding? I barely even saw a poem.
Fast-forward a few decades and I’ve completed a two-year creative writing course, been shortlisted for a national creative writing award, and selected for a programme to develop my debut novel.
My creative writing touches on themes of feminism, family, LGBTQ+ issues and social injustice.
